Seth Blackman, CPA. Seth is a principal in Rothstein Kass’ San Francisco office.  He specializes in audit, tax and consulting services for clients primarily in the financial services industry, including hedge funds, funds of funds, private equity funds, broker-dealers, mutual funds, and management companies.  Seth advises these entities on initial organizational structure, audit processes, and the management of operational and tax matters. 

Prior to joining Rothstein Kass, Seth served as the CFO and COO of a family office for several affiliated limited partnerships in New York, where he was responsible for accounting, finance and operations.  Seth was also a senior associate in the Capital Markets Business Assurance Group of PricewaterhouseCoopers.

Seth earned a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Binghamton University.  He is actively involved with his alma mater, serving as the Northern California Alumni Co-chair, and often returns to assist the Firm with recruiting efforts out of Binghamton, New York.  Additionally, Seth is involved with the Firm’s Best Practices Committee, recruiting initiatives, as well as professional education and development programs. Seth volunteers and supports several charitable organizations in the Bay Area.  He is a member of the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
